Capital XTRA’s Music Potential is co-delivered by Scottish Music Industry Association and Glasgow Music Studios.

Robert Kilpatrick, Projects and Operations Manager at the Scottish Music Industry Association said, “We’re delighted to be working with Glasgow Music Studios as the Glasgow delivery partners for Capital XTRA’s Music Potential Project. The SMIA is committed to developing, nurturing and supporting not only existing industry professionals in Scotland, but also those who are looking to get into the industry and start their careers working in music”.

He went on to state, “Everyone in Scotland should be given access and opportunities to be involved in music and the arts, and thanks to Capital XTRA, this project will help achieve this. We’re really excited to deliver key industry training and provide mentoring and work experience opportunities for participants part of this project, giving those who take part the skills required to meet the gaps and development needs of Scotland’s music industry in 2017. This will allow participants the best chance of employability following completion of the project, as well as develop the infrastructure of Scotland’s music industry internally for the benefit of all. I actively encourage as many people as possible to take part in this project and i’m very much looking forward to getting started.”
